Comacchio gets into the heart of spring and prepares for summer. The splendid Romagna village, which presides over the Po Delta, is ready to welcome the thousands of tourists visiting this naturalistic area which was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in June 2015 and which is the protagonist of the “Slow Spring”, an initiative that includes a series of events: excursions on foot, by bicycle and by boat, horseback riding, educational workshops, guided tours, sporting events and much more.
The goal is to offer tourists a “menu” of entertainment that ranges from nature to culture. Then, alongside the discovery of numerous species of birds, plants and other animals that inhabit the Delta area, in particular the famous Lidi di Comacchio, visits to palaces, monuments and churches will be organized, hosting artistic initiatives.
Delta of Po
Among the most interesting proposals, the “bio-trips” in the Po Delta aboard a small fishing boat with an expert biologist through the canals and loops of the Sacca di Goro and the Po di Volano, or the visit to Ravenna to discover the Archaeological area of Classe and its surroundings, or a romantic sunset walk along the Salina di Cervia. In short, Comacchio is in full spring climate and looks to the summer season with initiatives dedicated to those who, between the sea and the mountains, prefer something more “niche”, such as the fascinating marshy areas and slow tourism of the Ferrara coast.
