Apricus Locanda is a small boutique hotel in Apricale, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. When Apricale began to attract tourists about ten years ago, the Dutch owner bought a ruin in 2003 and transformed it, after a careful renovation, into a small five-room hotel, tastefully furnished with pieces of art by Danielle Noel, artist and organizer of exhibitions at the Castello della Lucertola. All the rooms, which are very bright, have a panoramic view over the valley, where at night tyou can also hear owls. The windows open onto the garden and three rooms have balconies where the guests can sit, relax and enjoy the view. In winter breakfast is served in our breakfast room with a fireplace, but most of the time the guests are welcomed on the terrace. Breakfast is a small buffet of fresh fruit, yoghurt, fresh bread, croissants, cheeses and cold cuts. The honey and jams are exclusively produced for Apricus by some collugues and are of extraordinary quality. In summer, you can enjoy healthy relaxation on the terrace where there is also a small swimming pool, while in winter you can find a burning fireplace . The success of Apricus has encouraged us to renovate some houses near the inn to create an even more intimate and private environment for our guests. On request the services provided by the inn such as breakfast buffet and swimming pool are also available for guests of our houses.Our area can offer hills with olive trees, rivers and streams and medieval villages where time has stopped. You can also find unspoilt nature and absolute silence (apart from a frog concert from time to time). But on the other hand the Mediterranean and the glamour of the Riviera and the Cote d’Azur are very near. You can taste good homemade and simple food in restaurants on the hills or fresh fish dishes by the sea. We think that diversity is one of the best features of this area.
