Moneglia is a place where art and traditions have their roots in history. It was named by the Romans as “monilia” (a jewel). It has been awarded with the Blue Flag by the European Union since 1990 for the quality of its sea and services and it is an ideal place for a magnificent and relaxing holiday. The castles Villafranca and Monleone are witnesses of a history that takes us back to the maritime republics. No less important are the oratories with medieval paintings and the Franciscan cloisters. Here, fishing and agriculture combine in order to enhance the flavours of Liguria. Walking through the alleys of the center in an ancient atmosphere, tourists can find history and comfort; the “carruggi” host artisan shops, boutiques, bars and restaurants. Many events are organized, such as the Exhibition of the oil market, which every year on Easter Monday brings together olive growers and offers the products of Ligurian craftsmanship.

Situated on a hill, on the bay called “La secca”, the hotel enjoys a priceless view of the sea and allows guests to leave their car in the garage to explore on foot the village and its surroundings: the old town, beach and train station are about 400 meters away. Hotel Mondial is 250/300m from the beach and only 400m from the centre of Moneglia. The twenty-nine apartments and forty rooms are equipped with every comfort. Swimming pool, Jacuzzi, fitness corner and solarium complete the offer.
