Hotel Ristorante LìOrizzonte is born in a small village called “Campolongo”, a village entirely built in stone, of farmers and shepherds, a simple place with a strong flavor. Just a few kilometers from Le Castella and surrounded by greenery, the Hotel offers all the comforts necessary for guests to enjoy a relaxing holiday.
Large rooms furnished with wrought iron and warm colors give the right comfort to those looking for a restful holiday. The bedrooms, all new and all with bathrooms designed specifically for their own privacy, are turned towards nature. On one side of the structure it is possible to see the entire Gulf of Squillace which extends up to Reggo Calabria while on the other side the hills of the Presila Crotone which gradually abandon the sea to run towards the Calabrian mountains.
At the Hotel LìOrizzonte you can taste the typical flavors of local meats and cured meats, taste the red and full-bodied wines of the Calabrian hinterland, taste the fish caught early in the morning, perhaps in person during a tourism fishing trip. The restaurant has a large renovated room, keeping the exposed stones and ceilings with wooden beams. The antique furniture accompanies the tasting of typical local dishes, also ancient ones handed down from mother to daughter.
Among the first courses, the restaurant offers homemade pasta, using the tools of the past. A pasta with an ancient flavor and strong like the thimbles with the grouper, called by the locals “cannarozzeddi”, or of the first with a modern and delicate flavor such as risotto with orange juice and shrimp.
Certainly the first can not miss with the sauce of fresh tomatoes from the garden and with local mushrooms.
