Friuli-Venezia Giulia

Friuli Venezia-Giulia enjoys a varied landscape, stretching from the Alps to the Adriatic coast to the territories bordering Croatia. Italy’s easternmost region still shows the influences it has received over the centuries from intermingling with neighbouring Balkan peoples, but retains its medieval Italian authenticity in ancient villages such as Venzone or Cordovado. Moreover, Friulian food and wine is among the most appreciated in Italy. Wines in particular are a distinctive trait of this land with deep-rooted local traditions.
