Caderzone Terme is among the five Trentino countries which have been awarded the Bandiera Arancione.
Caderzone is one of the oldest settlements in Val Rendena and is the ideal setting for a holiday dedicated to wellness, family and sport. Wet by the river Sarca, located in Val Rendena, a large part of Caderzone's highland area, including the lakes of San Giuliano and Garzonè, the Campo and San Giuliano huts, is located in the Adamello-Brenta natural park, the largest natural park in Trentino.
In the center of the village there is a thermal establishment, fed by a spring of ferruginous water, called acqua forte that flows just above the village from the source of Sant'Antonio and which has been known since the seventeenth century for its therapeutic properties. It brings benefits for osteoarticular diseases and disorders of the respiratory tract.
But the "village of health", as it is also known Caderzone, is also the ambassador of the traditional flavours of Val Rendena. Here you can practice strictly organic farming and animal husbandry, giving rise to top quality dairy products: the Vacarsa, soft cheese, Rendena Razza cheese to be enjoyed in small bites to appreciate its freshness and flavour and the Spressa, lean and tasty cheese.
The inhabitants of Caderzone acquired the technique of production of sausages in the Mantuan area, where they emigrated from September to April, through the only viable way constituted by Lake Garda.
The "caderzoni" added garlic to traditional procedures, considered a healthy product with beneficial effects, able to give the sausages an exquisite aroma. The cured meats of Caderzone Terme, recognizable by the red lily, a symbol of this community, have been registered on the List of Traditional Agri-Food Products at the Ministry of National Agricultural Policies and the European Community. Among the most renowned we find the Salame di Caderzone with garlic, the Caderzone hunter with garlic, the Salamella di Caderzone with garlic and the rolled bacon of Caderzone with garlic.
