Like Castelmezzano, Pietrapertosa is a village, perched on the Small Lucanian Dolomites and immersed in the Regional Park of Gallipoli Cognato. The enchanting village is built entirely on bare rock, almost set as the most precious of stones. It can be reached along the only main road and is revealed behind the large rock mass that is located right at the entrance.
