The historic center of Pisciotta is a magical place where time seems to stand still. The peculiar and very narrow streets lined with old aristocratic palaces, council houses and a few chapels create an evocative atmosphere that harkens back to the past.
The streets are so narrow that sometimes you can touch the walls of the houses with your hands as you walk. The buildings feature stone arches, carved portals, and flowered balconies. Every corner of the historic center is a treasure to be discovered.
To visit the village, Piazza Raffaele Pinto is an excellent starting point before arriving at Piazzetta del Cannone, a panoramic terrace from which the surrounding panorama can be observed. Among these narrow streets it is also easy to meet numerous cats, which have become special citizens of the village.

Continuing the visit to Pisciotta, along Via Roma, we come across the Palazzo Marchesale, a charming building dating back to the 1700s with an entrance marked by a long and narrow alleyway that today houses the Municipal Library.
Entering the Palace we reach the atrium with a sumptuous staircase and large windows from which there is a magnificent view of typical Cilento olive trees, old fig trees and some wild plants.

A walk through the streets of Pisciotta will lead you to the discovery of centuries-old churches. In the picturesque Michelangelo Pagano Square, among ancient and evocative buildings, there is the Mother Church dedicated to Saints Peter and Paul, which presents various architectural styles, accomplices of the various remodeling that has taken place over time, and inside which there are frescoes characteristic of the Neapolitan school and in the Baroque style. Through a small road to the east of the building one can reach Marina di Pisciotta, one of the three hamlets of the municipality.

Hidden among the alleys of the historic center of the village is the 17th-century Chapel of San Michele, built at the behest of the Pinto family. Inside are proudly preserved a fine organ made by Campanian artists and a statue of Archangel Michael. Recently renovated, the chapel is only opened on certain occasions.

One of the features that make the beaches of Pisciotta so special is their variety. Each one has its own personality and offers something unique. For example, Marina Campagna beach is a very characteristic and uncrowded white pebble beach. Notorious, on the other hand, is the beach at Marina di Pisciotta characterized by light-colored pebbles smoothed by the sea that in sunlight offer spectacular views. In Caprioli, another hamlet of Pisciotta, there is another beautiful beach consisting of fine yellow sand.
