Made entirely of lava stone, this wonderful fountain dates back to the 16th century and continues to fulfill its original role, offering freshness and life to the ancient village.
The work of Master Zocco and the inauguration in 1585
The Fountain of the Four Canals was built by a buccherese sculptor known as “Mastro Zocco,” who proudly affixed his signature to the work, which can still be seen today. Inaugurated in 1585, this fascinating fountain represents an example of exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail, with its four lava stone masks from which water spurts.
