Rimembranza Park is located in the historic center of Castagnole delle Lanze and is home to a panoramic tower built in the second half of the 19th century by Count Paolo Ballada of Saint Robert, who used it as an astronomical observatory.
The park, dedicated to the Fallen of World War I, is home to the tower dedicated to the Count, built on the ruins of the ancient castle, which during fine weather allows views over the entire Langhe and Monferrato.
Today, Count Ballada’s Tower can be visited through an itinerary that takes visitors on a journey through Saint Robert’s passions, with a museum dedicated to him, run by the Count Paolo Ballada of Saint Robert’s Tower Cultural Association. From the tower’s terrace, one can also enjoy a breathtaking view of the entire Alpine arc.
