In Piazza Umberto I is the town’s main church, which overlooks the square with its bell tower.
Inside, the Mother Church is divided into three very wide and bright aisles and is enriched with the wooden works of the pulpit and the altar of the Immaculate Conception made by local cabinetmaker Nicolò Campo, the wooden group depicting Christ scourged by two manigoldi made by Giovanbattista Li Volsi, the 1544 marble triptych made by Gagini, and the statue of San Placido made by Giuseppe Li Volsi.
