located in the halls frescoed the fourteenth-century Palace Castiglioni of Monteruzzo, presents an original collection of more than fifty works from the seventies.
The great success of plastics and the technical and aesthetic characteristics of its raw materials drove the count Lodovico Castiglioni and his cousin Franco Mazzucchelli to give life, between 1969 and 1973, the “Polymer Art”, a research center aesthetic and a laboratory equipped with technologies and qualified staff of Mazzucchelli Celluloid, the largest factory in Italy in the production and processing of plastic material. The seminar was attended by famous artists of the time and many of their works were exhibited in the occasion of prestigious national and international exhibitions.
Visitors are offered an extraordinary gallery of contemporary art inserted in an ancient and precious building nearly a artistic continuity between past, present and future. The passage of time is not immediate but is pleasantly readable in particular architectural and pictorial and sculptural because with their peculiarities testify the ancient traces of the past and guide visitors in a constant and reflexive epochal comparison.
