The paleochristian ruins of the Basilica of the Court, dating back to the IV century, came to light in 1902, thanks to the renovation of Piazza Biagio Marin, in the historic center of Grado; currently you can see sections of flooring with geometric decorations and names, some sarcophagi and the walls that punctuated the plan of the building.
Recently the area has been made accessible thanks to the footbridges in glass with steel cables, which allow a better visibility and create a successful blend of ancient and modern.
Just a few meters from here, the paving of the square highlights the point where once stood the Baptistery of the Basilica, thanks to a perimeter made of white stone that shows the octagonal plan and a semicircular apse of the Baptistery. The lighting in the evening makes the very suggestive place.
