The Ladin Museum, inaugurated in 2001, houses the ethnographic collections of the Ladin Cultural Institute, the result of twenty years of research dedicated to the various aspects of Ladin civilisation: prehistory, production activities, institutional organisation, forms of civil and religious ritual, beliefs and traditions, historical dynamics up to the transformation marked by the advent of mountaineering and tourism.
The aim of the exhibition is to reflect the image of a living, self-aware community, characterised by its own language, territory and history. This vitality is reflected in the exhibition structure itself, designed by architects Weber and Winterle under the guidance of Ettore Sottsass.
