The Pietra Corva Alpine Garden is an extraordinary natural oasis located in the municipality of Romagnese, in Oltrepò Pavese, in the specific locality of Pietra Corva. This fascinating garden was officially opened to the public in 1967, with the aim of conserving and adapting high-altitude plants from different parts of the world.
Conceived and created thanks to the commitment and passion of its founder, the Pietra Corva Alpine Garden constitutes a true living museum, where it is possible to admire a wide range of plant species from the Alps, Apennines, Pyrenees, Carpathians, Caucasus, Himalayas and Andes. This exceptional botanical heritage is the result of long journeys and botanical excursions, undertaken by the founder himself in search of the rarest and most wonderful species of the plant kingdom.
The garden covers about 15 hectares, with an exceptional biodiversity that includes species from the Alps, the Apennines and other mountainous regions of the planet. As you walk along the many paths through the garden, you can admire the different plants in a natural and scenic setting, while enriching your botanical knowledge and appreciating the relaxing power of nature.
For those visiting the Oltrepò Pavese, the Pietra Corva Alpine Garden is a must-see, a unique experience to immerse oneself in nature and discover the wonders that the plant kingdom has to offer.
