Ancient Musical Instruments Museum

The Museum of ancient musical instruments is located in the village of Seborga, in Liguria. The exhibition includes 135 valuable musical instruments from the period between 1744 and 1930, divided into aerofoni, cordofoni, idiophones membranofoni, and mechanics. All are part of the collection of Mr Giuliano Fogliarino who has collected in over 50 years of passionate research in Italy and abroad, keeping them all in a perfect state of conservation and operation. In the exhibition it is possible to frame historically the individual instruments through the illustrative labels exposed at the base of each of them and, in the case of life led, following the explanations of the experts musicologists, and you can also hear directly the sound, played in the background in the exhibit hall.

The exhibition is open to the public at the Palazzo Comunale daily (except Mondays) including holidays, from 10 to 13 and from 14,30 to 18.
