The church of Santa Croce è a sacred building located in Semproniano originating in the 12th century. The shape è that of an uneven rectangle. The stone used è local travertine and the type of construction betrays different eras.
In the interior, the church shows a simple Romanesque appearance, with the walls in alternating black and white bands. Elements of some interest are the two travertine stoups. In the chancel, raised one step above the floor of the nave and bordered by an iron balustrade, è leaning against the right wall is the altar of Our Lady of Sorrows. In the center there è the altar of the Holy Crucifix, which has as its covering the supper table and whose feast is celebrated on May 3.
