The Church fortress of the Madonna degli Angeli dates back to the year 1000. Situated along the ancient mule track for Isolabona, near Rio San Rocco, stands on a rocky spur outside the inhabited center apricalese. Of the ancient church does not exist certain news and documented until 1520, the year in which it is mentioned in a testamentary bequest: maybe it was a chapel for the stopover or a chapel “guard” along the downstream path. The building has a single rectangular nave – with the division into three spans closed by the apse – decorated with simple cycles of frescoes painted between the XV and the XVII century.
