The Mother Church of S. Catherine of Alexandria of Viggianello was enlarged or probably rebuilt ex novo under the barony of Bozzuto (1634). Preserves numerous works (paintings of the ‘600 and ‘700, baptismal font in alabaster of ‘500, the marble altar attributed to the sculptor Palmieri of the XVIII century, stoups in white marble of the XIX century, a cycle of frescoes by Alfonso metal, a spectacular pipe organ of 1880, a wooden choir of 1600, a Madonna in stone of the ‘500, the statue of the patron saint of wood from the renaissance period or earlier), a relic of the saint of Alexandria.
