The small hamlet of Vitorchiano is rich in churches, but perhaps the most interesting is the church of the Madonna di San Nicola. The construction of the church took place in 1503, but it continued until 1536.
The church has a single nave and has its greatest attraction in the frescoes that completely cover the walls, realized by five different authors in the first half of the sixteenth century: Giustino da Montefiascone, Valentino di Sebastiano da Viterbo operating in 1514, Giovanni and Guido da Arezzo between 1519 and 1521 and Giovanni Francesco d’Amelia between 1521 and 1556.
