Friuli Venezia-Giulia enjoys a variegated landscape, which develops from the Alps to the Adriatic coast, up to the land bordering Croatia. The easternmost region of Italy, in fact, still presents the influences received over the centuries from the mingling with the neighboring Balkan populations but preserves the Italian medieval authenticity in the ancient villages such as Venzone or Cordovado. Furthermore, Friulian food and wine is among the most appreciated in Italy. In particular the wines are a trademark of this land with very rooted local traditions.
